We are at a point in mankind's journey where the things that were written to come to pass are now happening. These things are prevalent in society and across the world. A Godlessness had taken hold of the human race. Like a plague that has infected millions of people and turned them into what is described in this bible verse. It was predicted that man would be its own vessel of failure due to being able to find that sin is more comforting than living a Christian life. Drugs, sexual immorality, violence, disrespect of adults, greed, self loathing and slander are now the norm of millions of people. This is all about choice and the end result may not be as comforting for those following this path of self destruction.
I am far from perfect but I do understand that there are certain things (decent things) that can help us all be better people and global citizens. These are simple things that cost nothing but some effort daily. These things can be the catalyst for change that so many seek to get back to as we are slipping farther and farther away from God and giving the devil his due. In the end the light will win and millions will suffer at the loss of their soul due to immoral behavior.
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 6 For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, 7 always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. 9 But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.
